Mr. Pat Butler, the owner and developer, announced that the golf course seaside community is on schedule and the initial pre-sale of home-sites is scheduled for January 12, 2002. The current owners at El Dorado Ranch will have first right of refusal with a special window of opportunity for forty-five days. The opening of the first golf course community in the San Felipe region has been eagerly anticipated by El Dorado Ranch owners. The original plan for thc golf course for the seaside community has heen redesigned into an 18 hole, Par 72, championship course overlooking the Sea of Cortcz. Mr. Bradford Benz, renowned for his ability to integrate indigenous plant life and natural surroundings, has been selected to be the chief architect of the new seaside golf course. The first phase of the master plan for the seaside golf course community will consist of approximately 458 parcels with low-risc condominiums and a luxury hotel. Many believe with the addition of this premier golf course community, El Dorado Ranch is at the dawn of a new horizon. We have named the course "La Ventana del Mar" to give it an archaeological, historical and social Mexican character. The "La Ventana del Mar" course will be special in many ways. It will conform to its natural setting which is already a very unique terrain. Another special element in the "La Ventana del Mar" course is it will utilize salt-tolerant turf and plants, known as halophytes, which will utilize seawater irrigation. Our fairways, greens and ornamental landscape plants will all be from the halophyte plant family, which will greatly reduce our need to utilize fresh water to maintain our golf course. This is very much in keeping with the owner’s interest in sustainable community development. |
